There’s no minimum order requirement for custom made patches. Order exactly what you need, even if it's just 1 or 5 patches. But keep in mind: the more you buy, the better the unit price!

Iron-on patches are highly durable when it comes to daily wear, but their lifespan ultimately depends on the quality of adhesive, how they are applied, and how they are washed. When handled properly, our custom iron-on patches can withstand multiple washes about 20-30 washes. 

Pro Tip for Permanent Durability:
For maximum long-term durability, add a few quick stitches around the edges after ironing it on. This gives you the immediate placement security of the glue, with the unbreakable permanent hold of thread.

Embroidered Patches: The absolute classic. These are made by stitching high-quality threads onto a fabric base, creating a distinct, raised texture.
PVC Patches: Made from a durable, flexible rubber/plastic material, these patches are modern, rugged, and completely weatherproof.
Woven Patches: Unlike embroidery, which stitches onto a fabric, woven patches weave thin threads together to create the patch itself.
Printed Patches: These patches use photo-sublimation to print a digital image directly onto smooth fabric, capturing unlimited colors and gradient shading.

Laser-Cut Edges (Die-Cut):
Laser-cutting uses a high-powered, computer-guided laser to burn precisely through the fabric. Because the laser is incredibly precise, it is the go-to choice for complex designs.
How it works: The laser beam cuts the patch shape while simultaneously melting the edge of the synthetic fabric (like polyester) to prevent fraying.
The Look: It creates a sharp, clean, and flat edge with no raised border.
Best For: Complex, intricate, or irregular shapes where a traditional border won't fit.

Heat-Cut Edges (Hot-Knife):
Heat-cutting typically involves a technician tracing a heated element or blade around a physical mold or die to cut the patch out.
How it works: Like the laser, the heat seals the edges to prevent fraying, but it is guided manually or via a mechanical die rather than a digital laser beam.
The Look: It results in a clean edge, too, but it's slightly less precise on micro-details than a laser.
Best For: Standard shapes (circles, rectangles, squares) and patches that feature a traditional, raised stitched border.

We offer several options: adhesive, plastic, no backing, iron on, velcro loop backing, velcro hook backing, double velcro backing, and safety pin. The best choice depends on the patch type and where it will be applied.
Sew on patches: The traditional, most secure method. These patches can be stitched directly onto the garment.
Iron-on patches: These feature a shiny layer of heat-activated adhesive on the back that melts into the fabric fibers when pressed with a hot iron.
3M self-adhesive patches: These work just like a sticker. You simply peel off the paper backing and stick the patch directly onto a surface.
Plastic patches: This isn't an attachment method itself, but rather a reinforcement. A thin layer of plastic is heat-sealed to the back of the patch to give it extra stiffness.
Velcro patches: These patches come with a hook-and-loop system. Usually, the "hook" side is pre-sewn onto the back of your patch, and it comes with a matching "loop" fabric piece that you sew onto your clothing or gear.
Safety pin patches: A classic safety pin is attached or built into the backing of the patch, allowing you to pin it onto any fabric instantly.

Distinguishing between the hook and loop backing is the easiest way is using the touch test:
Hook side: This side has small hooks on the surface, making it feel rough. The hooks attach to the loop side. 
Loop side: This side consists of small, soft loops of fibers, giving it a smooth, plush feel. The loops catch onto the hooks from the hook side, creating the adhesive effect. In short, the hook side is rough with small hooks, while the loop side is soft with small loops.
